Hi ABG, I¨ve been looking for a way to tag rooms in section views with dynamo... any ideas? I´m able to get the rooms and desired tag position ,but none of the place tag nodes i´ve tried seems to do the job... i think they are intended for plan views only or for annotation tags, but not for room tags in section views... please your advice!

I hope these videos fully guide you on retrieving elements for the Dynamo screen. I aim to generate specific elements by first selecting them using "Select model elements," obtaining their locations with "element.get location," assigning tags, and connecting these inputs to the "create.tag" node to generate tags within the Revit model.but output was not shown in revit model.please suggest.

Hello, thank you very much for your work. I have to create about 4000 room plans within the next few months and your tutorial comes in handy. I have rebuilt your Python script. The selections for viewPlans_all, names_all and selected all work. But for rooms_out and names_out I only get two empty lists. I just can't find the error. I also used the Snowdon Tower as an example project.

Thanks for the nodes and the walkthrough! I'm having issues getting it to work properly though. Whenever I run it, the FamilyDoc.AddSharedParameters node returns a single null value for each output, even though I am testing it on a folder with three families. I did try to modify the script a bit. I am just trying to bulk load one shared parameter, so rather than using an excel document, I just put that info straight into the script. All of the nodes immediately before the FamilyDoc.AddSharedParameters are returning their expected values, but then that node just doesn't seem to be doing anything with them. The families do close and save properly at the end of the run, they just don't change at all. I'm in R24 for reference. Thanks!

Hi Gavin. Nice script. it works with me but i put some modifying to work with a linked mep file and everything is fine only if i select a single wall but when i change the selection to select all walls in a level for example, it creates all the openings in one wall only. i hope you can help

I just download and couldn't see the "element type" option in crumple package, there is only Elements option here. Did you remove it or I download a wrong one?

I have one question about the last step of creating the finish floors: I want to make an offset by its thickness so that the floor is created above the level, but I'm not sure how to do this. I saw your comment on a similar issue here in the comments, but I couldn't quite grasp it as I'm still in the learning process. Any guidance on how to do so?

The first "category.byName" node fails on "Warning: Category.ByName operation failed. The category assigned to the map is already set as a different handle." error. I'm not experienced enough to know what that might mean.
